Next we welded in the cowl piece
cut from the CJ tub into the YJ tub.
For ease of removal of the old
tub, we started to cut up the old tub for ease of hauling and less weight.
With only the floor left, I will
next cut the floor in half right at the step for the back seat. Watch
for emergency brake cables and fuel lines before cutting!
Keep a large bin handy to put all
your parts, nuts, bolts and screws. This should be the last piece
to remove and the body is off.
After removing the body, we removed
all old exaust mounts and cut away any rusted frame. The only rust
we had on this frame was on the old body mount holes in the most rear frame
crossover.
